I investigated google ads this morning after I noticed a friend's blog suddenly had 4 of them up! Thing is people have to click on them for you to get any benefit...so unless you can rely on someone to click on the dreaded things (I am still looking for work on the side...cash in hand... :-P )

I had a student last term who came across the blog, and was extremely confused by the concept. Having puzzled through the issue for some time on their own, they finally burst out into a class discussion: "Your blog. I don't get it. Do you, like, get paid for that?"

I've noticed after previous cricket posts that I seem to get Google hits for bat sales and such - perhaps there's some market for dialectical sports strategy...

And: who you callin' a "would be" Hegelian? ;-P

In good time, if and when you decide to incorporate the dreaded Google Ads (which would present an interesting side topic in what sorts of commercial offerings might be correlated to this site), I will of course be demanding my share of royalties. Not that I for one would hold this against you - although I see, for instance, in the seemingly innocent post about the cricket, a possibly mercenary and opportunistic motive... what with World Cup about to get underway. Would-be Hegelians still have to eat, you know...
